Every flight school in the Lower Mainland.

All 26, across six aerodromes, with the number to call.

Six aerodromes. Every certificate checked against Transport Canada's register, so this is what they can teach — not what a website says. Three appear in no directory at all. The finder narrows it; this page is for when you would rather just start calling.

Three of Canada's ten busiest airports are on this page. Boundary Bay is third, Abbotsford fifth and Pitt Meadows seventh — and they are growing while every airline field on that list shrinks.

Most of that traffic is circuit training. Four of these six fields have a tower, so you talk to a controller from your first lesson — and never find ATC frightening.

Three of these schools are in no directory and no search result. We found them in Transport Canada's register. They publish no rates, so there is no price here — but they exist, they are certificated, and you can phone them.

  1. What does a beginner actually pay per hour? Website rates are often a Class 4 instructor, or exclude fuel.
  2. What do I need before the first lesson? Some want nothing. One wants $5,000.
